Craft Night

The Ladies’ Craft Nights are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month, from 7.00 - 9.00pm.

The evening begins with the craft time, where we will try one of a variety of different crafts. Don’t worry if you feel you are not ‘good at crafts’, all levels of skill are catered for. Each step in the craft is carefully explained.

After the craft time we have refreshments together, then we listen to a short inspiring or thought provoking talk.

We look forward to welcoming friends, old and new, to join with us on Craft Nights as we try something new together, enjoy each other’s company, and hear more about the love of Jesus Christ for us all.

September 2019

We had a happy time at the first craft night of the new term, making the pretty shoes and catching up with friends.

After a tasty supper of tuna and lentil salad we listened to a story from the Bible.

God is our Father. Although not all of us will have had good earthly fathers, we all know what a good father should be. The character of God has the very best qualities possible of a father. As our Heavenly Father, God is always watching out for us, caring, loving, comforting, understanding.

One way to pray is to go into a quiet room, close the door and just talk to Him. He listens. He cares. And we can find that problems and worries that we really leave with Him no longer weigh us down.

A song we like to sing expresses it this way:

"All your anxieties, all your cares

Bring to the mercy seat, leave them there

Never a burden He cannot bear

Never a friend like Jesus"
